Here in North America, there are various species of squirrels. The 3 common squirrels in PA are fox, flying, and gray – causing damage to your home or property with their gnawing and chewing abilities. You may hear a scratching or picking sound in your home. Breeding in Dec to Jan and again in June, they birth 3 to 4 young per litter. They will claim residence just about anywhere out of the elements. Nests in trees are most common, nests in brush and rubble can also be suitable. They can also find their ways into any home or building in many ways. They will be in the attic, walls, sometimes even the living quarters of your home. Squirrels have been known to chew the insulation, ductwork, and even wiring of the structure they’ve claimed. Causing significant damage and health risks to the homeowner.
Removal & Prevention:
Trapping is the best method in removing squirrels, sometimes an exclusion process can be worthy of topic.
