The fox resembles a dog in many ways by their first slender physique, pointed ears, and canine teeth. They're found all over the US and are no stranger to suburbia. fox are generally active during the night hours where human traffic occurs. And in more rural settings they're active both day and night. Their diet consists of rodents, juvenile deer, rabbits, some insects, and fruits. fox breed in February through March with a 60-day gestation. Five to seven pups are born on average from April through June. The mother will rarely be at the Den with her young due to hunting for food and patrolling the area for predation they can then anywhere near your home that provides cover and safety.
Diseases
Fox are prone to disease, including distemper, hepatitis, parvo, and mange caused by parasitic mites. Also at a risk for rabies, they carry numerous parasites like ticks, fleas, worms and flukes. Putting you and pets at risk for all of the above.
Removal and Prevention
Scare Tactics can be provided although trapping is the most effective method to remove fox. Depending on location and situation, some repellent methods May suit your needs.
